You already know the above-standard service provided on our yellow trains and buses. The comfortable trains operated by WESTbahn also have on-board crews. You can expect free Wi-Fi, and hot and cold drinks or snacks are available through the on-board vending machines.
As of 15 December 2019, WESTbahn trains will now depart from, and arrive at, the Wien Westbahnhof station. You can get there easily by subway or tram from the main station Wien Hauptbahnhof and the Hbf Südtiroler Platz terminal served by RegioJet buses and trains.
The transfer between the two train stations takes approximately 50 minutes. The time for the transfer is taken into account, as there is an 80-minute gap between the arrival of one carrier’s train and the departure of another carrier’s connecting train.
A single-journey ticket for Wiener Linien can be purchased online or by using the vending machines in subway station vestibules.

The ticket consists of a combination of two carriers – RegioJet and the company of WESTbahn. It is not possible to purchase tickets for WESTbahn services only.
At the ticket inspection at WESTbahn it is necessary to present your printed or electronic ticket (just the ticket number is not enough) and your official ID. The booking does not include seat reservation. The particular WESTbahn platforms can be found on information boards at the train station. The amount of luggage on WESTbahn trains is not limited.
RegioJet bus and train tickets include a seat reservation. All you need is your ticket number.
