The smell of grilled sausages, roasted chestnuts or gingerbread will attract you. Traditional crafts will be shown in the giant tents. There is an interesting Biedermeier-style fair opposite Charlottenburg Castle.

The most beautiful London Christmas markets are the Cologne Christmas Market and the Covent Garden Christmas Food Market at Covent Garden. The former one is a copy of the traditional Christmas market in Cologne, Germany, including music, smell of gingerbread and mulled wine. Covent Garden Christmas Food Market is famous for its grocery stores, where you can find everything for your Christmas table.
The first London markets begin on November 22 and end on January 6, 2020. The stands are open from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.
At the advent time, Piazza Navona turns into a large market with stands offering Christmas presents, toys and various sweets. The whole Rome breathes the Christmas atmosphere and original Nativity scenes await you in the ornate churches. Make sure you do not miss the Nativity scene in St. Pietersplein Square in the Vatican with life-size figures. Pre-Christmas Zurich is a very interesting choice. The traditional indoor market at the Central Station will enchant you, besides the rich offer in the stalls, by the beautiful Christmas tree, decorated with Swarovski crystal figures. The ubiquitous tones of Advent concerts will accompany you throughout the duration of the markets. And if you extend your stay in Zurich for a few days, you will be welcoming the New Year with huge fireworks at the biggest New Year party in Switzerland.
